The MicroGourmet Steamer is an innovative solution that allows steam cooking in the microwave oven in an easy, fast and healthy way. A unique product to steam in the microwave oven.
Steaming is a well known method that allows fat-free cooking while retaining nutriments, fatty acids and vitamins.
Steaming does not mean bland cooking. The colours are more vibrant, the texture stays firm, the natural flavours are better preserved and the herbs or condiments can develop their aroma fully. Add herbs, spices or low fat stock to the water to add a specific taste. You can also accompany your meals with sauces for a richer taste.
Steaming is perfect for the whole family – and a great way to introduce vegetables to children who will appreciate the festival of authentic colours and tastes on their plate.

Colander Tray
● Flat colander tray especially designed for stack steaming. For steaming delicate and soft foods.
Steamer Base
● Only perforated on the steamer base.
● Specific and unique design that shields the food from microwaves, allowing steam cooking in the microwave oven.
● For steaming any type of food.
Water Tray
● 2 handles allowing safe handling of the 101° MicroGourmet.
● Since the base is opaque, please respect always the minimum filling line indicating the exact amount of water to fill before steaming (400 ml).
How to Use:
•Fill the Water Tray to the 400ml minimum filling line! Except for high water content foods (350ml) as indicated in the Steaming guidelines.
•Ensure all parts are assembled correctly to obtain optimal results.
•Set the microwave power at max 800W.
•Let stand for 5 minutes after steaming. When steaming at 600W, extend standing time to 10 min for similar results.
How to clean:
● Each part of the MicroGourmet Steamer is dishwasher safe.
● Clean the product thoroughly after each use in the dishwasher or with a non-abrasive sponge.
● Do not use abrasive scouring pads or abrasive cleaners to clean any part of the MicroGourmet Steamer.
● If washed by hand, always rinse it first with cold water.
● Some staining may appear but this will not affect the performance of the product. It is recommended not to use staining spices such as curry to avoid discolouration.
Special care for Water Tray:
● After a period of use, the inner surface may become coated with mineral deposits from water. To clean these deposits:
● Bring 400 ml of white vinegar to a boil in a sauce pan, pour it into the Water Tray (4) and let it stand for 30 minutes.
● Do not cover with any other parts of the product.
● Do not heat in the microwave oven. Pour out the vinegar solution and use a non abrasive sponge or brush to scrub the Water Tray.

● For foods with high water content such as spinach leaves, mushrooms, mussels, chard leaves or frozen foods, fill the Water Tray (5) with 350 ml to avoid overflowing during steaming.
● For subtle flavour, you can add spices, herbs, low fat stock, essential oil or wine to the water but never replace the water with wine, syrup, oil, juice, soup or fatty stock.
● Do not steam eggs in their shell.
● You cannot steam pasta or rice into the MicroGourmet Steamer, as they must be submerged in water for cooking.
● Place the product at least 5 cm away from the walls and top of the microwave.
● Do not exceed 800 WATTS.
● Do not cook for more than 30 min at a time. Let the product and the microwave oven cool down before re- using.
● Do not overfill the Steamer Base, Colander Tray and ensure the Cover is closed properly.
● Never leave the product unattended while cooking.
● Product and content will be hot after steaming. Always use oven gloves and lift the product by the handles of the Water Tray.
● Always use oven mitts to handle the hot product and to remove the Cover. When removing the Cover, be careful to lift it slowly and away from you.
● Remove the Cover and the Colander Tray fluently to avoid the hot steam.
● Be careful when pouring out the remaining hot water from the Water Tray.
● Always use a trivet under the product to protect your table from heat.
● Always use a long handled plastic kitchen tool to separate, stir or serve foods to avoid scratches.
