Breakfast Oats

Instructions


  1. Mix oats and water or milk in the Individual Microwave Rice Maker base (do not cover). Microwave for 2 min. 30 sec. at 600 watts.

  2. Allow to stand for 1 min. Stir using a thin spatula. If needed, microwave again by periods of 1 min. at 600 watts, according to your taste.


VARIATIONS

Here are ideas to brighten up your porridge after cooking:

  • 100 g sliced bananas and 2 crumbled breakfast biscuits
  • 50 g blueberries and 2 tbsp sliced almonds
  • 100 g diced apples, 1 tbsp honey and 1 pinch of cinnamon
  • 50 g currants or raspberries, 1 tbsp red berry jam and 1 tbsp unsalted pistachios

You can also use any of the following treats as toppings:

  • Brown sugar, coconut sugar
  • Golden syrup, honey or maple syrup
  • Red berries or other fruits
  • Mashed banana
  • Dried cranberries or raisins
  • Orange marmalade or other jams
  • Seeds like poppy, sunflower, pumpkin or sesame
  • Cinnamon
  • Sliced and roasted almonds
  • Coarsely chopped hazelnuts, pecans or walnuts
  • Dried coconut
  • Chocolate flakes made with the Click Series Peeler
  • Cocoa powder
