Leftovers, reinvented.

Today we’re inspiring you with some flavor-packed recipes and combinations. They’ll help you enjoy the best of leftovers from the weekend, with a few added twists ;)

Chicken

For a more sustainable and affordable option to eating out during the week, why not use your leftover chicken to whip-up your own chicken salad or poultry meatballs. There's also the option of a casserole dish or Baby Marrow and Chicken lasagna for a quick and easy leftover family dinner.

Steak

The best way to reheat your steak is to put it in the oven for 20 minutes for around 20 minutes at a heat of 120 °C. Once done, sear in a pan with butter or oil for 1 minute on each side, then serve hot.

One piece of leftover steak can go a long way. Dice it up into thin slices and turn it into a hearty stew, or enjoy it with fresh pumpkin puffs and dip.

Pasta

Who doesn’t love a divine traditional Italian dish? Why not use your leftover meat or veg in an easy and delicious Summer Penne Pasta, or make a fab Bolognese sauce to use with your leftover pasta salad.

Rice

Leftover rice is the perfect ingredient to include in meals throughout the week. Also known as batch cooking, making lots of rice and refrigerating it in your Space Saver Set is a convenient way to prepare part of your meals at once. If you’re looking for more ways to treat your tastebuds with leftover rice, you can always count on this Zesty Rice Salad recipe for something fresh and tasty ;)

Pro Chef tip: Take your leftover rice to the next level with a delish chicken Biryani, or a comforting chicken curry.

Vegetables

Running out of ideas for how to use your leftover veg? There are plenty of dishes that are even easier to prepare with pre-cooked veggies, like a vegetarian quiche or a wholesome veggie couscous.

You can also turn your leftover vegetables into a delicious soup to enjoy at work in your CrystalWave Soup Mug.
